At Where the Pieces Meet, we believe community grows stronger when organizations work together. This week, we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on one of our incredible partners: SHOW Baldwin, Inc. (Special Humans Outreach & Wellness).

SHOW Baldwin is dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals with special needs in Baldwin County. Through programs, events, and outreach, they’re building a more inclusive and supportive community for all. Their mission aligns beautifully with ours — fostering acceptance and belonging.

Supporting Families in Meaningful Ways

One of SHOW Baldwin’s most impactful efforts is their free pediatric lending library. Families in Baldwin & Mobile Counties can borrow medical devices, sensory items, and special needs equipment at no cost — bridging the gap for those waiting on insurance approval or unable to afford essential tools. By offering these resources, SHOW Baldwin ensures that children have what they need to thrive, promoting inclusivity and well-being for all.

Events that Bring Joy and Connection

SHOW Baldwin creates meaningful moments for families through a variety of events, such as:

• Heroes & Hugs

• Wheelchair Wash

• Coffee for Caregivers

• …and more!

They also partner with other organizations to make a bigger impact — including collaborating with us at Where the Pieces Meet during our Annual Resource Fair this year.

Join SHOW Baldwin for their 2nd Annual Oct-SHOW-ber Fest, a sensory-friendly fall celebration designed especially for individuals with special needs, disabilities, and their families.

This inclusive festival will feature:

• Carnival-style games (with prizes for everyone!)

• Live entertainment

• Concessions

• Sensory play areas

• An enclosed playground for safety

• …and so much more!

After last year’s success in Foley, the event has moved to a larger, more central location in Loxley for easier access to North Baldwin families and more room to prevent crowding and long lines.
