We Did It! You Helped Us Fund the First 10% of Our 501(c)(3) Dream!

Cost Should Never Be a Barrier: Join the journey to make every Where the Pieces Meet event permanently free.

Yesterday, you saw the pure joy of our Karaoke Night. You witnessed the courage it takes for our neurodivergent adults to step up to the microphone, sing their hearts out, and form the genuine connections they crave.

Here is an incredible update: Since announcing our Founding Pieces Fundraiser, the #WhereThePiecesMeet community has rallied and helped us raise nearly $500!

That is an amazing accomplishment that proves how much this mission matters to you. This first $500 means we've successfully funded the first 10% of our operational goal! Now, we need your help to reach the next milestone.

The Current Hurdle and the Future Dream

Right now, we operate month-to-month, relying on small fees and limited funds to rent spaces and cover basic costs. This means that cost can still be a barrier for many of our adults battling social isolation.

Our goal is to raise the $5,000 needed to secure the operational foundation that enables us to become an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit. This funding is critical because it ensures we can:

  • Protect our Members (Safety First): Fund our General Liability Insurance (approximately $85 per month) to keep every participant and volunteer safe at our monthly events.

  • Ensure Reliability (Digital Essentials): Cover our essential digital infrastructure—like our $45/month Google Workspace (for professional emails and forms) and website hosting—which allows us to safely register attendees and communicate reliably.

  • Fund the Fun: Pay for tangible event staples like food, drinks, and materials (like our new bingo kit!).

  • Establish a Foundation: Fund the upfront costs to officially open and maintain our bank account as we work toward our final 501(c)(3) status.

Achieving 501(c)(3) status will ultimately allow us to:

  1. Make every single future event permanently FREE for our neurodivergent and special needs adults.

  2. Unlock grants and resources that ensure these programs are sustainable forever.

Your Investment Today Secures Our Tomorrow

We are powered entirely by volunteers—100% of the effort to run Where the Pieces Meet comes from people dedicated to our mission and giving their time for free.

This is why your investment is so powerful: 100% of your donation goes directly to the group and its events. There are zero paid salaries or administrative overhead costs. Every dollar is stretched to provide maximum safety and impact for our community.

  • A $45 gift covers our professional Google Workspace for an entire month, keeping communications reliable.

  • A $85 gift secures one month of General Liability Insurance, keeping every event safe.

  • A $150 gift funds a complete new event kit (like a bingo set or craft supplies) for a future free gathering.

We need your help to keep our community safe, connected, and operational while our lawyer completes our nonprofit application.
